161 Adjudication under the Housing Grants, Construction and Regeneration Act 1996

Section 108 of the Housing Grants, Construction and Regeneration Act 1996 provides that every party to a construction contract1 shall have the right to give notice at any time of his intention to refer a dispute to adjudication2. The parties may not contract out of the right to refer matters to adjudication, nor can they impose restrictions on this process (such as a requirement to refer the matter first to another form of alternative dispute resolution).
