117 Appointment of contract administrator

Except where one contract administrator is appointed as the delegate of another1, the appointment of a contract administrator is made by a contract with the employer. Many large organisations in both the public and private sectors employ their own architects or engineers and, in such cases, the relevant contract is a contract of employment.
