72.30 Landlords and tenants

A sub-tenant or licensee of the tenant may be able to enforce a covenant in a headlease (for example to insure a property) if it is expressed to be for the benefit of the sub-tenant or licensee. If a sub-lease contains a covenant expressed to be for the benefit of the head-lessor, then it might be enforced directly against the sub-tenant by the head-lessor.
