6.5 Proof of receipt

In contracts where the question of receipt of due notice may be especially important, it is advisable to insert express provision confirming the method of proof in the event of a dispute, for example:

‘In proving the giving of a notice for the purpose of any provision of this agreement it shall be sufficient to prove that the notice was left or that the envelope containing the notice was properly addressed and posted or that the notice was sent by the applicable means of telecommunication to the correct address and despatch of the transmission was confirmed
