55.2 Records and inspections

Agreements may provide for the retention and inspections of records, and the inspection of processes. For example:

  1. (a)

        a party who is designing and manufacturing a product may be required to keep records of the materials used in the manufacture the product;

  2. (b)

        a party providing a service may be required to record its activities (such as meetings it has held, reports prepared etc).

  3. (c)

        a supplier of goods or services may need to permit the other party:

    1. (i)

          to visit the premises of the supplier at a particular, or at any, stage to determine how
