19.1 Commencement

The date when an agreement comes into effect, or obligations under the agreement commence, can be different from the date when the agreement is signed. Unless there is wording in the agreement which indicates a contrary intention, an agreement takes effect immediately it is signed by all parties, or in the case of an agreement executed as a deed, on ‘delivery’ of the deed.
