8.2 Charges by companies

Mortgages and charges of personal chattels made by limited companies are exempt from the operation of the Bills of Sale Acts, but where they would have been registrable as bills of sale if made by individuals, they are required to be registered with the Registrar of Companies within 21 days of being made1.
