20 Entry of satisfaction

Where a debt secured by a bill of sale has been satisfied or discharged, a Queen’s Bench Master may order a memorandum of satisfaction to be written on a registered copy of the bill1. If a consent to the satisfaction signed by the person entitled to the benefit of the bill of sale can be obtained, the application can be made by witness statement2. Otherwise the application must be made by claim form3.
