26 Extension of protection

The statutory protection of a banker in respect of payment of unindorsed or irregularly indorsed cheques1 and collection of cheques to which the customer has no title or a defective title2, and the provisions of the Bills of Exchange Act 1882 relating to crossed cheques3, have been extended to instruments analogous to cheques by the Cheques Act 19574.
