78 The statutory demand

78.1 General

The Insolvency Rules 1986 contained detailed requirements as to the form and content of a statutory demand, and there was a prescribed form1. There is no substantive change in the 2016 Rules. However, there is now no statutory form and instead the statutory demand must contain the contents prescribed in the Rules. In the case of a statutory demand there must be no departure from the prescribed contents of a statutory demand, in contrast to other forms the content of which is prescribed in the Rules where some leeway is allowed for
