314 Offences and debt relief restrictions

The Insolvency Act 1986 Sections 251O–251S create a range of offences designed, inter alia, to ensure:

  1. 314.1

        strict compliance with the eligibility requirements by those applying for debt relief orders; and

  2. 314.2

        a measure of financial probity and responsibility by those debtors in respect of whom debt relief orders are made.

In addition, Schedule 4ZB to the Insolvency Act 1986 contains provisions for a person to be subject to a debt relief restrictions order or for such a person to give a debt relief restrictions undertaking1. The provisions for imposing
