296 Nature of administration orders

Although administration under the County Courts Act 1984 is not a bankruptcy procedure, it is a collective procedure for the administration of a debtor’s affairs for the benefit of his creditors1. It has often been referred to as a ‘non bankruptcy’ or a ‘poor man’s bankruptcy’.
