271.3 Liabilities arising under criminal law and recognisances and confiscation orders

The bankrupt is not released by his discharge from any liability in respect of a fine imposed for an offence or from any liability under a recognisance except, in the case of a penalty imposed for an offence under an enactment relating to the public revenue or of a recognisance, with the consent of the Treasury1.

Nor is the bankrupt released from any liability under a confiscation order under Parts 2, 3 or 4 of the Proceeds of Crime Act 20022.
