271.2 Damages for personal injuries and family liabilities

Discharge does not release the bankrupt from any bankruptcy debt which1:

  1. 271.2.1

        consists in a liability to pay damages for negligence, nuisance or breach of a statutory, contractual or other duty, or to pay damages by virtue of the Consumer Protection Act 1987 Part I2, being in either case damages in respect of personal injuries to any person; or

  2. 271.2.2

        arises under any order made in ‘family proceedings’3 or under a maintenance assessment made under the Child Support Act 1991;
