258 Final admission and rejection of proofs

Fourteen days after the last date for proving specified in the notice to creditors, the trustee must deal with every creditor’s proof, in so far as not already dealt with, by admitting or rejecting it in whole or in part, or by making such provision in relation to it as he thinks fit1. The trustee is not obliged to deal with proofs lodged after the last date for proving; but he may do so if he thinks fit2.
