243 Quantification of claim

Where a debt is uncertain by reason of its being subject to any contingency or contingencies or for some other reason, the trustee must estimate its value as at the date of the commencement of the bankruptcy1. The amount provable in the bankruptcy in respect of any debt is the amount admitted or estimated by the trustee2. Should the creditor submitting the proof, or the bankrupt or any other creditor, be dissatisfied by the amount of the trustee’s estimate, he may apply to the court, and the court will estimate the value
