239 Trustee’s decision on proofs; rights to appeal

The trustee must determine whether to admit or reject each proof submitted for the purpose of dividend1. He has power to ask for further information or documents2. If he rejects a proof, in whole or in part, he must give the creditor a statement of his reasons for doing so as soon as reasonably practicable3. He must also file the proof in court together with any rejection statement4.
