216 On completion of the administration of the estate

216.1 Release of Official Receiver

If the Official Receiver, while he is the trustee, gives notice to the Secretary of State that the administration of the bankrupt’s estate is for practical purposes complete, he has his release with effect from such time as the Secretary of State may determine1. Before doing this he must deliver a notice of intention to do so to the creditors and to the bankrupt, which must be accompanied by a summary of receipts and payments2.
