172 Ownership of the bankrupt's estate after discharge

The bankrupt's estate continues to be vested in the trustee after discharge from bankruptcy. The bargain in insolvency is that in return for handing his assets (more particularly his bankrupt's estate) over to his creditors, he is released from his debts on discharge1. There is one striking exception to this over dwelling houses2.
