143 Official Receiver as trustee

If the Official Receiver decides not to ask the Secretary of State to make an appointment, he remains the trustee of the bankrupt’s estate1 and is, broadly speaking, subject to the same duties and has the same powers as an insolvency practitioner trustee. He is also subject to removal under Section 298(4)2.
