D: STEPS AFTER BANKRUPTCY ORDER: ROLE OF THE OFFICIAL RECEIVER

128 Immediate steps

The court is required to give notice to the Official Receiver as soon as reasonably practicable on the making of a bankruptcy order1.

On receipt of the order2, the Official Receiver3:

  1. 128.1

        must, as soon as reasonably practicable, send notice of the making of the order to the Chief Land Registrar for registration in the register of writs and orders affecting land4 and cause notice of the order to be gazetted5.

  2. 128.2

        must cause an entry to be made in the individual insolvency register6; and

  3. 128.3
