102 Presentation of the petition

A petition is presented by filing it in court together with the appropriate number of copies of it in accordance with the Insolvency (England and Wales) Rules 20161 and, if appropriate, written evidence of service of the statutory demand in the form of a certificate or certificates verified by a statement of truth2.

The petition must be verified by a statement of truth3. If the petition is in respect of debts to different creditors, the debts to each creditor must be separately verified4. A statement of truth which is not contained in or endorsed upon the petition
