98 Notification of appointment

A person who appoints an administrator under the Insolvency Act 1986 Schedule B1 paragraph 14 should notify the administrator and such other persons as are prescribed as soon as is reasonably practicable after the appointment has taken effect and commits an offence if he fails without reasonable excuse to do so1. The Insolvency Rules prescribe that those additionally to be notified are any person who sent a notice of an intended administration application to the appointor and the court where that application was filed2.
