247 Striking non-trading private companies off register

247.1 In general

The directors or the majority of the directors of a non-trading private company may apply to the registrar to strike the company off the register1. An application cannot be made if, at any time within the previous three months, the company has2:

  1. 247.1.1

        Changed its name;

  2. 247.1.2

        Traded or otherwise carried on business;

  3. 247.1.3

        made a disposal for value of property or rights which, immediately before ceasing to trade or otherwise carry on business, it held for the purpose of disposal for gain in the normal course of trading or otherwise
