170 Adoption of contracts

The Insolvency Act 1986 is silent about adopting contracts other than contracts of employment1. The better view is that a receiver is personally liable on any contract which he adopts as his own. However, the receiver is not personally liable on contracts which he merely allows to continue2, nor does he adopt a lease merely by continuing to use the premises3.
