When considering each transaction and the appropriate document, the practitioner should bear in mind that the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999, from 11 May 2000, applies to any contractual arrangement unless its effect has been specifically excluded. Rather than insert an exclusion clause in each of the precedents, it has been considered more appropriate to include the text of a clause1 that could be inserted into any contract either at the end of the definition and interpretation clause or as a final clause.
