97.2 Administrative regulation applying to museum loans

Museum loans are also subject to a broad degree of common administrative regulation. As with their common ethical guidance, this regulation operates outside the strict field of law. The principal modern example is the document Loans between National and non-National Museums: Standards for National Museums and Galleries1. This document states that:
