60.5 Legal effects of sale

A sale under the Torts (Interference with Goods) Act 1977 Section 12 gives the buyer of the goods a good title as against the bailor alone1. If the bailor did not own the goods, no good title is conferred by sale under the 1977 Act either against the true owner or against anyone claiming under him2.
