60.3 Giving notice of intention to sell

The bailee must next give notice to the bailor of his intention to sell the goods1. If these conditions are met, a bailee who is reasonably satisfied that the bailor owns the goods2, becomes entitled to sell them.

Notice of intention to sell must specify3:

  1. 60.3.1

        the name and address of the bailee4;

  2. 60.3.2

        the date on or after which the bailee proposes to sell the goods5;

  3. 60.3.3

        the amount, if any, payable by the bailor to the bailee in respect of the goods, and which became due before the giving of the notice.
