31 Duties of the bailor

The bailor must pay the agreed charge for storage or, where none is agreed, a reasonable sum1. The bailor is not strictly liable for the safety of the goods or their fitness to be stored2, but he is liable for negligence3. The bailor may be in breach of the bailment by failing to collect the goods at the expiry of the bailment or (where no term is agreed) on reasonable notice4.
