197 Legislative follow-up to UNESCO

The government of the United Kingdom, acting on the advice of the Illicit Trade Advisory Panel1, concluded that the United Kingdom could accede to the UNESCO Convention2 without enacting any prior legislation. At the same time, however, certain further reforms were acknowledged by both the Illicit Trade Advisory Panel and the Department for Culture, Media and Sport as constituting important supplementary measures to accession3.
