189 Specified financial threshold and exceptions

If the object is valued at or above a specified financial threshold, the exporter must apply for an individual licence. If the object is valued below, no individual licence application is required1. Open individual export licences (‘OIELs’) can be granted to named individuals, companies or institutions, to permit either the permanent or temporary export of specified objects2.
