Where the lending institution is the copyright owner of the loaned work the loan agreement will often make provision for the reproduction of the work in any educational material which is provided free of charge by the museum. The borrowing institution should ensure that it has a licence from the lending institution to reproduce the loaned work in all of the media in which it wishes to provide this information, for example printed literature, films, CD-ROM, DVDs etc.
