165 Display of the loaned work

In the United Kingdom there is no infringement of copyright by exhibiting or displaying an original artistic or literary work in public without the licence of the copyright owner1. If the loaned work consists of a film then the copyright in the film is infringed by showing the work in public without the licence of the copyright owner2. Where the artistic work is still within copyright then, assuming that right has not been waived3 and has been asserted4, the artist will have the moral right to be identified as the author of the loaned
