158 Primary Infringement

The owner of copyright in a work has the exclusive right to do the following acts in the United Kingdom (‘acts restricted by copyright’):

  1. 158.1

        to copy the work1;

  2. 158.2

        to issue copies of the work to the public2;

  3. 158.3

        to rent or lend the work to the public3;

  4. 158.4

        to perform, show or play the work in public4;

  5. 158.5

        to communicate the work to the public5;

  6. 158.6

        to make an adaptation of the work or do any of the above in relation to an adaptation6
