157 Duration

Copyright in a literary, dramatic, musical or artistic work expires at the end of a period of 70 years from the end of the calendar year in which the author dies1, subject to specific provisions relating to:

  1. 157.1

        works of unknown authorship2;

  2. 157.2

        works where the country of origin of the work is not an EEA state and the author is not a national of an EEA state3;

  3. 157.3

        computer-generated works4;

  4. 157.4

        works of joint authorship5;

  5. 157.5

        cases of Crown Copyright, Parliamentary Copyright or where the copyright
