155 Copyright

Copyright is a property right1, which exists independently of a physical work, and subsists in:

  1. 155.1

        original2 literary3, dramatic4 musical5 or artistic6 works;

  2. 155.2

        sound recordings7, films8 or broadcasts9; and

  3. 155.3

        the typographical arrangement of a published edition10

A work qualifies for copyright protection if it meets the qualification requirements11 relating to the author12, or the country in which the work was first published13 or in the case of a broadcast the country from which the broadcast was made14
