124.2 Loans of objects which were gifts or bequests

Where an object was either given or formed a bequest to the Imperial War Museum the powers of the board of trustees to lend such objects are restricted.

The board of trustees cannot exercise its power to loan an object which was the subject matter of a gift or bequest until a period of 15 years has elapsed since the gift or bequest unless:

  1. 124.2.1

        in the case of a gift, the donor or his personal representatives; or

  2. 124.2.2

        in the case of a bequest, the testator or his personal
