120 British Museum and Natural History Museum

The Trustees of the British Museum have a power to lend any object comprised in the museum’s collection for the purpose of public exhibition1. The Trustees of the Natural History Museum have a similar power in relation to loans for the purpose of both public exhibition and research2. The power for the trustees of both museums is in respect of loans within the United Kingdom as well as elsewhere. When deciding whether to lend the object and determining:

  1. 120.1

        for how long the object is lent; and

  2. 120.2
