11 Sale of land with or without reserve

In the case of sale of land by auction, the particulars or conditions of sale must state whether the land will be sold without reserve, or subject to a reserve price1, or whether a right to bid is reserved; and, if the land is stated to be sold without reserve, it is not lawful for the seller to employ any person to bid at the sale, or for the auctioneer to take knowingly any bidding from any such person2.
