64 Enforcement of awards under Arbitration Act 1996

If a party refuses to comply voluntarily with its obligations under an arbitral award, the other party may seek to enforce the award in the courts. The Arbitration Act 1996 Section 66 sets out the legal framework for enforcing an award in the courts of England and Wales.

A party may apply to enforce any award whether the seat of the arbitration in which the award was rendered was in England and Wales or Northern Ireland, or abroad1.
