61 Time limits for an application or appeal

Any application under the Arbitration Act 1996 Sections 67 to 691, including an application by a party that did not participate in the arbitral proceedings2, must be brought within 28 days of the date of the award3.

Where the application is brought outside the 28-day time limit, the court has discretion as to whether or not to grant an extension of time4. In exercising its discretion, the court will consider such factors as5:
