57 Challenge of award on ground of serious irregularity

57.1 Overview of application

Under the Arbitration Act 1996 Section 68, a party may, upon notice to the other parties and to the tribunal, apply to the court to challenge an award on the ground that there has been a serious irregularity affecting the tribunal, the proceedings or the award1. An application under Section 68 is only available by way of recourse against an award, not an order2.
