56.4 Remedies

In terms of remedies, on an application under the Arbitration Act 1996 Section 67, the court may by order1:

  1. 56.4.1

        confirm the award;

  2. 56.4.2

        vary the award; or

  3. 56.4.3

        set aside the award in whole or in part.

In cases where the tribunal has issued a preliminary award on jurisdiction and that award is challenged under Section 672, the tribunal may continue with the arbitral proceedings on the merits in parallel with the challenge proceedings3.
