55 Grounds for challenge of award

The parties’ recourse in respect of an unfavourable award is addressed in the Arbitration Act 1996 Sections 67 to 71. An aggrieved party may take the following steps before the courts of England and Wales:

  1. 55.1

        challenge the award under Section 67 on the ground that the tribunal lacks jurisdiction1;

  2. 55.2

        challenge the award under Section 68 on the ground that there has been a serious irregularity affecting the tribunal, the proceedings or the award2; and/or

  3. 55.3

        appeal under Section 69 on
