10 Farriers

The Farriers (Registration) Act 1975 gives the Worshipful Company of Farriers, incorporated by royal charter dated 17 January 1674, the general function of securing adequate standards of competence and conduct among farriers and of promoting, encouraging and advancing farriery and education in this field1. It also establishes the Farriers Registration Council2 whose powers and duties are conferred by this Act.
