34 Power to hire or purchase land for allotments

Councils1 may, for the purpose of providing allotments, by agreement purchase or take on lease land, whether situated within their district or parish or not2.

The powers of councils include powers to provide common pasture3 and grazing rights4; and to authorise any person to enter and inspect land with a view to ascertaining its suitability for acquisition5.
