8: ALLOTMENT SOCIETIES30 Powers of councilsCouncils1 may promote the formation or extension of, and may assist, societies on a co-operative basis, where their objects include the provision or the profitable working of allotments, whether in relation to the purchase of requisites, the sale of produce, credit banking, or insurance, or otherwise.
