2: APPLICATION OF AGRICULTURAL OR BUSINESS TENANCY LEGISLATION

3 Agriculture Act 1947

For the purposes of the Agriculture Act 1947, an allotment is agricultural land1 if it comprises land used for agriculture2 and is so used for the purposes of trade or business, or is designated as agricultural land by the Secretary of State or the Welsh Minister3. No such designation may extend to land used as allotment gardens4.
