22 Determination of farm business tenancies

Where an allotment is a farm business tenancy1 for a fixed term of two years or less, the tenancy expires automatically on the term date. Notice of at least 12 months is, however, required to terminate a tenancy of over two years2. A yearly tenancy, whether granted initially or arising after a fixed-term tenancy, can be terminated only by notice of at least 12 and not more than 24 months3.
